Mrs. Brown was born Feb. 7, 1915, in Floyd County and resided in Rome her entire life. Daughter of the late Walter Davis Williamon and Julie Inez Ledbetter Williamon. She was a longtime member of Riverside Baptist Church and in the Order of Eastern Star, Etowah Chapter 30. She was preceded in death by her husband, Luther Augusta Brown, May 13, 1977, a grandson, Darrell Wooten in 1979, two brothers, Winston and J. W. Williamon, and a sister, Inez Baker.
Survivors include a daughter, Carolyn Wooten; a granddaughter and grandson-in-law, Teresa and Edwin Campbell of Lindale; a great-grandson, Eric Campbell, of Lindale; a brother, Marshall Williamon, of Austell, GA, and a sister, Mozelle Carr, of Cave Spring.
