Ruby Lorna Bangen was born August 18, 1920, at Climax, Minnesota. She attended school at District #6, which was the first two-room school house in the area. She married Grantly Broden in Abeline, Texas. When Grant was discharged, they lived in Crookston, Minnesota. After Grant died, Ruby moved to Great Falls, Montana, where she worked for the Cascade Company Nursing Home.
Ruby died July 28, 2001, in Great Falls. She is survived by three sisters, Mildred Gilstad, Fylies Roadhouse, Arlone Wokasch, and four brothers, Harold, Orlean, Irwin and Rodger Bangen, and numerous nieces and nephews.
