He was born in Edna on March 23, 1922, to Andrew Jackson and Clara L. (Fowler) Bryson. He graduated from Labette Community High School in Altamont.
He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.
He married Shirley Lee Ratclift, who preceded him in death in 2005.
He spent most of his life raising cattle near Chetopa.
He married Helen Cole in October 2008. She survives of the home.
Other survivors include his children, Marcia Price of Sand Springs, Okla., Gaylin Wayne Bryson of Palmer, Beverly Ann Ingram of Baldwin City and Wilbur A. Bryson Jr. of Grove, Okla.; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and three sisters.
Others preceding him in death were his parents; and a granddaughter, Melissa Tullis.
The graveside service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Edna Elm Grove Cemetery in Edna. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Ellis Family Funeral Home Chapel in Grove.
