Alice Mart Rainey, 89, a native and resident of Schriever, died Sunday, Sept. 12, 2010.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to funeral time Friday at St. Mark Congregational Church in Schriever. Service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at the church, with burial in the Halfway Cemetery in Gray.
She is survived by six nieces, who was also her caretakers, namely Helen Mart Woods of Gibson, Claudette Mart Nixon and husband, Wesley, Andrea Hayes, Lauren Bush, Lydia Gwin and husband, Donald, and Shirley Mart Frank, all of Gray; and one sister-in-law, Audrey Thomas Mart of Gray.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Louis and Ossie Mart; four brothers, Leo Mart, Evans Mart, Clarence Mart and Ernest Mart; and two sisters, Dorothy Mart Coleman and Leah Mart Macon.
She was a member of St. Mark Congregational Church.
