Scott C. Crawford took his life on Thursday, September 16, 2010.

Born March 21, 1964 to Shirley Ann Woods and Charles Glenn Crawford.

Scott was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He continued serving as a Layton Police Officer and as a Salt Lake County Sheriff Deputy where he served as a special operations officer and enjoyed time in the SWAT Team and as a motorcycle officer and motor squad officer instructor.

He enjoyed spending time with his motorcycle friends riding for different causes and loved to spend time with family and friends at Lake Powell on his house boat.

Scott was married to Leisa Hallett in November 1984. They were later divorced. He was then married to Alina Bitton in February 1993 and was divorced in 2009.

He is survived by his children: Mishayla Atkinson (Mike) and Evan Scott Crawford, one grandson, Kanyon Crawford, his mother, Shirley, sisters, Wanda Hight (Dan), Debbie Woolley (Scott), Teri Tomshack (Merlin), Linda Sharrett (Frank), and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father; brother, Mark; and grandparents.

Funeral services will be held Monday, September 20, 2010 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist's Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road. Friends may visit family on Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Monday from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. at the mortuary. Interment, Lindquist's Memorial Park at Layton, 1867 No. Fairfield Road.
