Merchant at Keuka for Years (May 20, 1914 handwritten on the copy)

Dundee, May 23. The funeral of Albert C. Wagner, of Keuka, who died at his home at that place late Wednesday night, was held from the home this afternoon at 1 o'clock and burial made in the McDowell Cemetery near Keuka. Mr. Wagner was 76 years of age and had been a resident of Keuka for the greater part of his life. For many years he conducted the leading general merchandise store at Keuka, retiring a few years ago. He is survived by his wife and one daughter. Death was due to appendicitis following a short illness, although he had been in feeble health for some time past, having suffered a stroke of paralysis some time ago.

Veteran Civil War
PVT Co. E, 6th Regt U.S. Cavalry

Albert Waggoner was enlisted on Sept. 19, 1861 in Adrian, MI by Lt. Balk. Discharged April 30, 1863 for disability at Convalescent Camp, VA as PVT.

The above record (from Ancestry) was made after discharge. The person ahead of him on the list was from Adrian, Michigan. There were ditto marks by Albert Waggoner's name. On Ancestry there is also a Civil War record from the enlistment time that gives he was from Wheeler, NY, a more sensible place.
