Mrs. Mariah Clark, who died at Wayne
the 234 ult, had resided in that locality
for over seventy years. She was born in
Massachusetts and came to this county
when she was but seventeen years old.
She was a member of the organization
of the Methodist church at Wayne. Her
husband, Lewis Clark died in 1871. Of
nine children four are now living:
Mrs. John Eveland and Mrs. Wallace
Earnest of Wayne, Mrs. Joseph Eveland
of Penn Yan, and Mrs. C. D. Earnest of
Williamsport, Pa.
