Hazel Price Conley, 83, of Dinwiddie County, died Sunday, April 17, 2005. She was the widow of Prentice Albert Conley Sr. She was the daughter of the late Luther Ashby and Minnie Stoneberger Price. She was predeceased by her son, Roger Lee Conley. She was a former employee of Titmus Optical and in her later years, she was a babysitter for many families. She was a member of the Western Heights Baptist Church.
She is survived by her son, P.A. Conley Jr. and wife, Bonnie Wray of Dinwiddie; brother, Harold R. Price of Easley, S.C.; grandchildren, Kimberly Gail Conley and Steven Dwayne Conley; and a number of nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, April 20, 2005, at the Petersburg Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home and Cremation Service. Interment will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday at Elk Run Cemetery in Elkton, Va. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. tonight at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers and food, contributions may be made to Western Heights Baptist Church, 24416 Cox Road, Petersburg, VA 23803, or Smyrna Baptist Church Building Fund, P.O. Box 173, Dinwiddie, VA 23841.
