Jacob's Confirmation Record (Evangelical Lutheran Church) and Jacob's WWI & WWII Registration cards all indicate Jacob's birth year was 1897. Since those records were not readily available at the time of Jacob's death in 1976, it is believed a mistake was made on the death certificate by family members. -Douglas Oscarson 13 Nov 2022.
