Edith was the daughter of Elvin Lawrence and Stella Spencer Moberly. She was born in Lester, Lyon, Iowa. When a young girl the family moved to Watertown, South Dakota where she received her education and affiliated herself with the Methodist Episcopal church. Edith worked at Woolsworth in Watertown. She married Scott Hamilton Miner of Owattana, Mn. on January 18, 1920 in Claremont, Minn. This is where their first and only child was born, Stella Lorraine Miner. In 1921 they moved to Bell California and three months after arriving in Calif. Edith died. Her body was kept at the Inglewood cemetery until the spring of 1922 when the body was removed to Chapin, Iowa for interment.
