Amanda, 19, was a Tyler Junior College student. Amanda, after being shot and killed in their family home. Amanda was born the daughter of Mark and Stacie Kennedy Anderson. She graduated with honors from the Tyler Gospel Chapel School in 2009. She was a Trinity Mother Frances employee and a student at Tyler Junior College, where she majored in English Literature. Amanda was an aspiring writer, a lover of words, music and life. Amanda was writing a novel, and was halfway through of having the novel finished at the time of her death. She was a unique and shining light in this dark world. With her infectious smile and easy laugh, she touched the hearts of all who were blessed to know her. Amanda is survived by a loving family including her parents, Mark and Stacie Anderson; brother, Mark Nathaniel Anderson; maternal grandparents, John and Ruth Kennedy; and paternal grandparents, Myron and Delores Anderson, all of Tyler. She is also survived by her aunts and uncles, Vicki Stowe of Tyler, Julie Orr and husband Joe of Tyler, Sharon Smith and husband Mike of Kankakee, Illinois, Steven Anderson and wife Elizabeth of Austin; her cousins, Laura, Leah, and Luke Orr, Justin, Jonathan and Wesley Stowe, Amy, Heather and Rachel Smith, and Ben and Heidi Anderson; many extended family members and a host of close friends; and her beloved dog, Stella. Pallbearers will be Justin Stowe, Wesley Stowe, Jonathan Stowe, Mike Smith, Joe Orr, and Bryan Jacobe.
