Paul E. Payne, 64, of 1653 Prospect Street, died at 11:50 a.m. Tuesday in City Hospital. He operated Payne Delivery Service.
Mr. Payne was born in Catawba on August 30, 1901 and lived in Clark County all his life. He was the son of Samuel and Carrie Payne and was a member of the First Church of God and Red Star Lodge Number 205, Knights of Pythias.
His wife, Florence, died in 1960.
His body was taken to the Richards Memorial Home where friends may call from 7 p.m. Wednesday until time of services at 2:30 p.m. Friday in the First Church of God with the Rev. Harold Boyer officiating.
Burial will be in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens.
