Little Falls, Jan. 12--David H. Burrell, foremost citizen of Little Falls, is dead. In his death not only this city but Herkimer County, of which he was a product, loses a man, loyal, kindly, charitable, and in the highest sense of the word a worthy citizen ... Mr. Burrell was born in the town of Salisbury on the 17th day of March, 1841, and was descended from New England lineage on both his father's and mother's side. Their ancestry dated back to England and France. The father was Harry Burrell, who for 50 years was prominently identified with the agricultural, social and industrial life of this county. The mother's name was Sarah Montague Hamlin ... On the 30th of December, 1864, Mr. Burrell was united in marriage to Louisa L. Loomis, daughter of the late Hon. and Mrs. Arphaxed Loomis, one of the city's finest old families. Their home life has been ideally beautiful and an inspiration to the community. Five children were born to them, three of whom survive. They are Loomis, David H., Jr., and Miss Elizabeth Burrell. Both sons hold responsible positions in the Burrell & Company plant.

The funeral will be held from the house at 3 p. m. Wednesday. Rev. Mr. Wyman of the Presbyterian Church officiated. Burial in the Church street cemetery.
