Final services for Mrs. Mabel Pearl Reed, 60, of Athens were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Foster & Brown Funeral Home Chapel of Athens with the Rev. Billy Rasco officiating. Burial was in the Ash Cemetery.
Mrs. Reed died Monday afternoon at a Corsicana Hospital after a long illness. A native of Cushing, she had lived in Athens 50 years. She was a member of the Assembly of God Church.
Survivors include her husband, Joe Reed of Athens, three daughters; Mrs. Louise Wilson (J. W.), Mrs. Marie Henson, and Mrs. Diane Harris (Buck), all of Athens, a sister, Mrs. Ethel Speake of Athens, a sister in law, Mrs. Orena Johnson of Athens, and four grandchildren.
