Funeral services for Alfred Slabaugh, 67, of Idabel, who died Thursday at Idabel, were conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Nation Chapel with John Langan and Howard Ellis officiating.
Burial in the Philadelphia Cemetery in Goodwater will be under the direction of Nation Funeral Home of Idabel.
Born May 30, 1921 in Froglevel, Ark., Slabaugh had lived most of his life in McCurtain County. For 14 years he operated an upholstery business in Haworth and was a veteran of World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Madie Slabaugh, of the home; three sons, Donald Johnson of Wright City, Ray Slabaugh of Idabel and Perry Slabaugh of Horatio, Ark.; three daughters, Cynthia Perkins of Broken Bow, Jo Ann McGough of Idabel and Nancy Deerman of Meridian, Miss.; four brothers, H.C. Slabaugh and W.D. Slabaugh, both of Wright City, Arnold Slabaugh of Ten Mile, Ore. and A.W. Slabaugh of Broken Bow; three sisters, Dimple Jackson of Goodwater, Janie Simpson of Eagletown and Elwanda Elliott of Wright City; several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
