Samuel W Cox was born in Platt county, Mo, March 2, 1855, died at Sawtelle, Cal, Wednesday, Nov 28, 1917, at the age of 62 years. His widow, Hattie, two sons, Dorn and Ival, and a sister, Mrs Jessie Harr, of Kansas City, survive.
Mr Cox will be remembered by a great many people of Doniphan county where he spent his boyhood days. In 1880-81 he owned and run a barber shop in Wathena.
