Obit -Brownstown Banner, Seymour, Indiana, pub 4 Jan 1905: Thomas Pruitt, Sr., whose sickness has been previously mentioned, died of consumption last Friday and was laid to rest in the Lutes cemetery Saturday. He was in his 80th year. He had 12 children by his first wife, seven of whom - two sons and five daughters - are still living. Besides these he leaves twenty grand-children and forty-three great-grand-children. He was a verteran of the civil war.
