Helen Constance Grifitts-Downs was the daughter of Ruby and Luke Griffitts, Oklahoma. She was the mother of Mara Jean "Jeannie" Carrera. She was the second wife of Lionel Washington Downs. They were married Dec. 26, 1941. She lived most of her life in and around Quapaw and Miami, Okla. She was the mother of Richard, Michael and Constance Downs. She passed away after a stay in a nursing home near Houston, MO. She was preceded in death by her mother Ruby, her husband Lionel, and their son, Michael. May great Aunt Helen rest in peace.
