California and Californians Vol 111 1930 states Jane was a native of Quincy, Branch, Michigan & married James O. Murfin of Detroit, Michigan in 1907. She came to California in 1920. She was the daughter of James & Henrietta (Livingston) Macklem. Her father was born in NY & her mother was born in Canada. Her first marriage, in 1907, to lawyer James Murfin, lasted less than five years, but Jane adopted his surname and would use it. There are no records to show Jane ever married Larry Trimble.
