Lillian Jean Fox, 92, of Sugar Grove passed away on Saturday, January 7, 2017 at the Fairfield Medical Center. She was born on November 11, 1924 in Lancaster to the late Albert and Gertrude (Combs) McLaughlin. Jean co-owned Fox's Garage in Sugar Grove with her husband Charles Fox. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, the Sugar Grove Senior Citizens, Berne Twp. Fire Dept. Auxiliary, 40 & 8 Auxiliary, and the American Legion Auxiliary. Jean served on the Sugar Grove Village Council and the Sugar Grove Development Committee for many years.
Jean is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Deborah and Keith Miller; grandchildren: Eric (Amy) Miller and Heidi (Matt) Dillon; great grandchildren: Brandon and Allison Miller, Jacob and Joseph Dillon; brother Dan Beilfuss; sister-in-law Mary Motter; brothers-in-law Br. Joseph Fox and Don Ludwig; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Charles H. Fox, her parents, and brother Roger McLaughlin.
Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at 10:30am Wednesday January 11, 2017 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Sugar Grove with Fr. James Walter as celebrant. Interment will follow in Stukey Cemetery. Visitation will be on Tuesday January 10 from 4-8pm with a vigil service at 7:30pm at the Sheridan Funeral Home .
