Kevin Wayne Lovell, 22, of Wapsi Valley Mobile Home Park, West Branch, died Tuesday, Nov. 11, 1997, in rural Johnson county after a car accident. Services will begin at 10 a.m. Friday at the George L. Gay Funeral Home and Crematorium with Sister Agnes Gilbin officiating. Burial will be in the Rochester cemetery. Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Mayor's Youth Program. Mr. Lovell was born Oct. 2, 1975, in Iowa City, to Bruce and Sandra Spevacek Lovell. He attended City High School and was discharged from the Navy in September where he worked in helicopter repair. He married Jeri Wilkey on June 14, 1997, in Annaville, Texas. He was employed by Parkside Mobile Gas in West Branch. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church. Survivors include his father, Bruce Lovell of Rochester; his mother and step father, Sandra and John "Jack" Heaton of Iowa City; one sister and her husband, Christa and Brian Avise of Seaside, Calif.; one brother, Andy Lovell of Iowa City; one step brother, Scott Heaton of Cedar Rapids; one step sister and her husband, Felecia and Mike Corley of Corpus Christi, Texas; his grandparents, Rita Lovell of West Branch, and Donald and Esther Spevacek of Iowa City; his great grandmothers, Ethel Yerington of West Branch and Clara Rummelhart of Riverside. His grandfather, Kenneth Lovell, died earlier.
