Edd Strong of Lexington, Ky, age 62 years, died in the Patty A Clay Hospital, Mar 4th, following an illness of three months caused from frost bitten feet. His left foot was removed by operation on Feb 8th, but it didn't help him.
Surviving is wife, Dora Wilson Strong & five children: Lennie Powell, Hamilton, Oh, Margaret Gentry, Lebanon, Oh, Willard Strong, Dayton, Oh, Woodrow & Carl Strong, Lexington, Ky, his father, Jeff Strong & one brother, Fred Strong, Hamilton, Oh,& four sisters: Mollie Mason, Paint Lick, Ky, Hadie Miller, Somerset, Lillie Metcalf, Tyner, & Rhoda Spivey, New Zion, Ky.
He was the son of Jeff & Narcissus Strong & born in this county near Green Hall & lived there until about 20 years ago, then moved to Richmond & later to Fayette Co where he was living at the time of his death.
The pallbearers were his nephews, Elmer & Clay Mason, Richmond, Carlos Metcalf & Emmett Spivey, McKee, Robert Metcalf & Henry Wilson, Tyner, Ky. The funeral services were conducted Tuesday morning by Rev W. L. Kash of Irvine in the Oldham, Roberts, Powell Funeral Home in Richmond. His body was brought to Tyner for burial Tuesday afternoon. He believed in the Primitive Baptist Church & was known by all as a moral & good man
