ETHEL CURPHEY
Ethel Weller Curphey, 94, of 2951 Maple Ave., died at 1:15 p.m., Wednesday, July 29, 1992, at SunnyView Nursing Home.
Born July 26, 1898, in Zanesville, she was a daughter of Samuel A. and Herminnie Pickens Weller.
A lifetime resident of the area, she was a member of the Zanesville Country Club, Zanesville Arts Center, Assembly Club and Bethesda Charities.
Her husband, William Morton Curphey, died in February 1979.
Surviving are a daughter, Patricia Belle Grant, of West Malling, Kent, England; two sons, Frederic James Grant III of Zanesville and William Morton Curphey Jr. of New Haven, Conn.; nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchidren.
No calling hours will be observed.
Private services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Woodlawn Cemetery Mausoleum with Rev. J. W. Cummings III officiating.
