The sorrowful intelligence was received in this city last Monday morning that Mrs. Hannah Platter, who has been sojourning in Texas for some time, was dead. Her remains arrived here yesterday, and her funeral was preached yesterday afternoon at the M. E. Church, South, by Rev. R. H. Cooper. A large concourse of sorrowing friends attended and paid their respects to the departed one.” Weekly Chillicothe Crisis, May 1, 1879
