(LINEVILLE) Funeral services for Sara Ann Hill Griffin, 69, of Lineville were Sunday, Sept. 12, 2010, at 2 p.m. at Benefield Funeral Home in Lineville with the Rev. David Holcombe officiating. Burial followed at McCollum Baptist Church Cemetery.
Mrs. Griffin died Thursday, Sept. 9, at her residence.
She was a native of Randolph County but had lived most of her life in Clay County. Mrs. Griffin had been the vice president of NCE Construction Company in California and a member of Dingler's Chapel Church of Christ.
She is survived by six daughters, Becky Ann Davis, Janet Carolyn Hicks, Robbie Ann Griffin Mullally, Katie Olene Griffin and Regina Griffin, and Rhonda Yates; four sons, Kennith Davis, Randy Davis, Joe Mullally and James Doyle Griffin Jr.; three sisters: Vivian Arquello, Lorraine Hill and Nadine Holcombe; three brothers, Holley Hill, Gene Hill and David Holcombe; 11 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Mrs. Griffin was preceded in death by her parents, Jessie D. Thomas Willis Hill and Arrie Ula Fowler Hill; and her husband, James Doyle "Poncho" Griffin Sr.
Pallbearers will be Marty Brown, Jessie Duke, Dewayne Griffin, Thomas Griffin, Chris Mitchell and Craig Atchley.
