Kathryn A. Burke, 98, of Hometown and formerly of Gay Street, Tamaqua, died Tuesday morning in Hometown.

She was the widow of Ralph Burke, who died in 1967.

Prior to retiring, she had been employed as a dental hygienist.

Born in St. Clair, she was a daughter of the late Anthony and Mary Zukasky.

She was a member of SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Tamaqua.

A 1929 graduate of Tamaqua High School, she was also a past member of the Tamauqa Senior Citizens, the Tamaqua Over 50 Club, and the Sweet Adelines.

Surviving is a daughter, Patricia Burke of Tamaqua and her fiancee, David Schmeer; and a brother, Albert Zukasky.

She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Anthony and Albert Zukasky.
Services: Mass of Christian Burial 10 a.m., Friday, SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Tamaqua, with the Rev. William Linkchorst officiating.

Interment, Sky View Memorial Park, Hometown. Call Thursday, 6-8 p.m. or Friday, 9-9:30 a.m., Zizelmann-Roche Funeral Home, 500 E. Broad St., Tamaqua. Prayer service Thursday, 7:30 p.m.

Contributions in her name may be made to the church.
