Thomas Jefferson Wright was the son of James M. Wright and Margaret (Brown) Wright. He was born 23 April 1847 in Overton County, Tennessee, and died 18 May 1908 in Jackson County, Tennessee. He married Susann "Susie" Murphy the 21st of January 1873. They had seven children together: four sons and three daughters.
Although his headstone gives his middle name as James, it was Jefferson. Descendants of Thomas put up a new headstone and thought the "J" stood for James. Later they discovered documents showing his middle name was actually Jefferson.
