George G. Armatage, 66, 2324 8th Ave., died Wednesday, Nov. 23, at Weld County General Hospital. He was born May 18, 1911, east of Eaton and attended Eaton schools. He worked at the Great Western Sugar Co., at Eaton and farmed with his father, Fred Armatage. In 1935, he began work with Home, Light and Power Co., and was a meter reader for 27 years. He worked at Cook's Drugstore from 1962 to 1971, when he retired. He was a former member of the Eaton Congregational Church, Watt Club and Greeley Lions Club. He is survived by his wife, the former Mae Bird, whom he married Aug. 3, 1935, in Greeley; a son, Fred R. Armatage; his stepmother, Mrs. Agnes Armatage of Greeley; an uncle, Roger Williams of Johnstown; two aunts, Misses Olive and Nemma Williams, both of Greeley, and a granddaughter. Family graveside services will be in Eaton Cemetery, with Macy Allnutt Mortuary in charge of arrangements. [Unknown Source]
