Capt. Rowland {q.v., Roland} Robinson, Esqr., only child of Joseph Robinson by his first wife Bethiah Gall, b. of record May 27, 1701 at Falmouth, Mass. where he d. Dec. 9, 1767, Æ 67.

Rowland was extensively involved in the public affairs of the Town of Falmouth for a significant period of time up and until his death. He was a usual member of various town committees, served as a town Selectman and as town Clerk.

On Oct. 10, 1723 at Falmouth, Rowland m. Thankful Dimock, dau. & 7th child of John Dimock & Elizabeth Lumbert, b. Apr. 25, 1702 at Barnstable, Mass. She d. Apr. 25, 1775 at Falmouth, Mass., Æ 74. They had the following three children b. of record at Falmouth, Mass.:

• i. Mary Robinson, b. July 1, 1724 (bapt. July 14, 1734), d. at Falmouth Nov. 2, 1771, Æ 48; m. Oct. 29, 1746 at Falmouth as his first wife, Moses Swift, s. of Ephraim Swift & Ruth Hatch of Sandwich, Mass., b. at Sandwich Oct. 4, 1720, He d. at Falmouth, Mass. June 28, 1809, Æ 89. He m. 2) Rachel Parker.

• ii. Bethiah Robinson, b. July 20, 1726 (bapt. July 14, 1734), d. at Falmouth Dec. 10, 1806; m. Thomas Jones May 15, 1745. Eleven children recorded at Falmouth.

• iii. Susanna Robinson, b. Nov. 3, 1738 (bapt. Nov. 5, 1738), d. at Falmouth Jan. 22, 1809, Æ 71; m. Mar. 10, 1757 at Falmouth, Capt. Timothy Crocker, s. of Dea. John Crocker & Mary Hinckley, b. Aug. 23, 1728 at Barnstable, Mass. He d. at Falmouth Oct. 19, 1800, Æ 74. Nine children of record at Falmouth.
