WAYSIDE — Dr. Taylor L. Marshall, 84, of Wayside, formerly of Cherryvale, died Thursday, Sept. 9, 2010, at his home.
He was born Dec. 24, 1925, in Lewis, Iowa, to Luther Taylor and Cora Bell (Peck) Marshall. After graduating from high school, he graduated from Palmer College in Davenport, Iowa, where he studied to be a chiropractor. He served in the Navy during World War II.
He practiced in Cherryvale.
He married Joan Madden in 1950. She preceded him in death. On Feb. 1, 1978, he married Nadine Watson. She survives.
Other survivors include three daughters, Jackie Hartman of Wichita, Jody Brann of Olathe and Jill Ludwig of Joplin; five stepchildren, Lee Watson Jr. of Havana, Naketta Weber of Fromberg, Mont., Floyd Watson of Wayside, Carl Watson of Seattle and Danny Watson of Sycamore; nine grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; 13 step grandchildren; 17 step great-grandchildren; and a step great-great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by a stepson, Gary Watson.
The service was Monday at the Assembly of God Church in Caney. Burial was in Havana Cemetery.
The family suggests memorials to the Assembly of God Church, Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice or Disabled American Veterans, which may be left in care of Potts Chapel of Caney.
