Mary Frances Averette Howard, born April 17, 1926 died at the Duke Hospice Hock Pavilion on September 12, 2010.
She was 84. She is predeceased by her parents and all nine siblings.
Surviving are her husband of 63 years, Melvin (Jim) Howard; a daughter, Shirley Howard, both of the home; a son, Jerry (Phyllis) Howard of Creedmoor; two grandsons, Jeremy and Jason Howard; a granddaughter, Jennifer H. Edwards (Wayne); and four great grandchildren, Jessica and Randall Howard and Olivia and Noah Edwards.
