She was born in La Crosse, Wis. Aug. 15, 1896, the daughter of Lewis and Martha Arneson Wensole. She worked and received her education in La Crosse.
She married Benjamin Borreson July 12, 1916 in Mondak, Mont., where he owned and operated a drug store. They later moved to Miles City, Mont., where they operated a drug store and homesteaded north of Terry, Mont. They spent several years in Beach, and in 1929 moved to Belfield where they owned the City Drug Store.
After his death on Dec. 26, 1955, she moved to Arnegard where she was assistant manager and cook for the Arnegard old folks home. In 1960 she moved to Bowman, living with her daughter. Because of her love for children, she became known as Gran in the Bowman area.
She was a charter member of the American Legion Auxiliary William C. Bair Post 144, treasurer of Norwegian Lutheran Church in Belfield, and active in Bowman Lutheran Church.
Survivors include one daughter, Audrey (Mrs. Albert) Hecker, Bowman; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by husband, two brothers and two sisters.
The funeral was held Saturday in the Bowman Lutheran Church with the Rev. Richard Kraiger officiating, Syneva Arithson as organist and Delight Stotlemyer as soloist. Burial was made in the church cemetery with pallbearers, Clarence Thompson, Gene Fong, Lester Hawk, Rueben Pladsen, Robert Olson and John Fleck. (Ohm Funeral Home)
