While a teenager, she married crooner Rudy Vallee in 1943 divorcing two years later. She was best known for her role as the seductive Kathie Moffat in "Out of the Past" (1947) which cemented her reputation as a film-noir vixen. In 1984, she appeared in "Against All Odds" which was a remake of "Out of the Past." In it, she played the mother of her original character. She married attorney Ed Lasker in 1947, divorced him (for philandering) in 1963 but retained his name until her death, using "Jane Greer" as her stage name. Frank London, an acting coach, was her companion from 1964 until his death in January 2001.
