Dr. A. C. Hester, Father of Local Women, Succumbs
Dr. Alvin Clifton Hester, 80, of Bienville, father of Mrs. T. A. Kasey of Shreveport, died at his home at 4 p.m. Monday following a long illness.

Funeral services will be held at the Bienville Methodist Church at 10 a.m. Wednesday ,
with the pastor, Rev. J. K. Carithers assisted by Rev. James Watkins, pastor of the Harrison Baptist Church, officiating. Funeral arrangements will be under the direction of the Conger Funeral Home of Arcadia.

Dr. Hester was a graduate of the Louisville (Ky) Medical College in 1907. He had practiced medicine at Summerfield, Lisbon, and Doyline before moving to Bienville 30 years ago.

He was a member of the Methodist Church and the Bienville Masonic Lodge. Dr. Hester was a native of Davidson, Ala.

Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Sue Davidson Hester; two other daughters in addition to Mrs. Kasey, Mrs. John Kingery of White Plains, N.Y., Mrs. William P. Shows of Clinton; two sons, Harry Hester of Bienville and J.B. Hester of Doyline. 12 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
