Phillip Alvin French, 60, of Green Ridge, was called home to be with his Lord on Thursday, September 9, 2010, at Bothwell Regional Health Center.

He was born August 26, 1950, in Los Angeles, CA, a son of Albert Wayne and Billie Frances Jones French. On March 25, 1977, in Miami, OK, he married Karla A. Spencer, who survives of the home.

Mr. French was a member of Worship House and a former longtime member of Westside Assembly of God. He worked as a maintenance electrician, working at Bothwell Regional Health Center. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle, playing guitar and singing at church, and serving the Lord.

In addition to his wife, survivors include his children, Jack Lynn French (Sher), of Wichita, KS, Tiffany Renae Mathis (Chris), of Tennessee, Misti Dawn Covington (Eric), of Sedalia, Michael Sutherland (Ginger), of Boonville, and Judith Sharp (Kenny), of Arkansas; his mother, Billie French, of Joplin; 23 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; a brother, Charles French (Tass), of Thailand; a sister, Nancy Derrick (Scott), of New Mexico; and his dog, Patches, who was his faithful companion.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Patricia Hernandez; a grandson, David Elric Anderson; his father, Albert Wayne French; and a brother, Billy Wayne French.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Monday at Heckart Funeral Home, with Pastor Dutch Boer officiating.

Casket bearers will be Michael Miles, Donovan Lucier, Robert Hernandez, Randy Smith, Marty Osburn, James Pittman and Jim Meusborn.

Burial will be in Crown Hill Cemetery.
