Peggy Ann Byrd Abney, 72, widow of Clyde Abney, passed away at 11:05am Saturday, Sept.11, 2010 at the Clark Regional Hospice.

A native of Clark County, she was the daughter of the late Astor and Elenora McVey Byrd. Peggy was a retired caregiver and homemaker and a member of the Grace Bible Church.

Survivors include a daughter, Jo Ann Abney of Winchester; 3 sons, Harry "Bud" Abney of Waco, David (Ida) Abney of Paris and Tim Abney of Winchester; 3 grandchildren, Jennifer, Briana and Justin; 2 great-grandchildren, Estee' and Josiah; 2 sisters, Diana Rogers of Winchester and Vivian Frohardt of Richmond and several nieces and nephews.

Services will be conducted at 1:00pm Wednesday, Sept. 15, at the Scobee Funeral Home by Bro. Ron Frohardt. Burial will follow in the Winchester Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Tim Abney, Albert Woodrum, Jeff Rogers, Scott Rogers, Thomas Byrd, Danny Harris and Darrell Strange.

Visitation will be 6-8pm Tuesday.
