Dale E. Jemmett
     
Dale E. Jemmett, 80 of Parma, Idaho passed away Tuesday, Aug. 30, 2005 in Caldwell. Funeral services will be Saturday, Sept. 3 at 10 a.m. in the Parma LDS Church. Viewing will be at 9 a.m. at the church prior to services. Interment will follow at the Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Caldwell. Services are under the direction of Dakan Funeral Chapel, Caldwell.
     
Dale was born Oct. 20, 1924 in Goshen, Bingham, Idaho to Fredrick George Jemmett and Anna Alberta Christensen. He spent much of his childhood in eastern Idaho farming with his parents, three brothers and two sisters. At the age of 19 he joined the Army Air Corps and trained as a weather observer during World War II.
     
Dale married Joyce Bernice Elliott on May 13, 1948 in Iona, Bonneville, Idaho. They were later sealed for time and all eternity in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple in 1958. Born to them were five children, Sandra, Renee, Dell, Glen and Larry.
     
They lived in the Marsing area, where they farmed until 1962. They moved to Parma and purchased a small acreage. Dale worked hard and raised his family, whom he felt was his greatest achievement. He was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, serving in many capacities, including that of a Bishop.
     
He enjoyed camping and fishing with his family. In his later years, Dale enjoyed bowling and spending time with his family and grandchildren. His family enjoyed many fond memories of the time spent with their father and grandfather.
     
Dale was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, one sister and his infant son, Larry. He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Joyce; his children Sandra (Jim) Lemmon, Renee (Floyd) Sumsion, Dell (Donna) Jemmett, and Glen (Nadine) Jemmett; 19 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.
     
Dale was known to be a generous and compassionate person and will be missed by family, friends and neighbors.
