Doyle Brooks Logan
CASPER - A Mass of Christian Burial for Doyle Brooks Logan, 84, will be celebrated at 2:30 p.m., Tuesday, March 30, at St. Anthony's Catholic Church, with Fr. Michael Carr as celebrant. Rite of Committal will be in Highland Cemetery.
He died March 25, 2004, at his home in Casper.
Born April 9, 1919, in Dublin, Texas, he was the son of William Jacob and Seleta Ann (Winfield) Logan. He was raised and educated in Texas.
During WW II, he served in the U.S. Air Force as a flight engineer aboard a B-24 bomber aircraft, flying over 60 missions in his military service.
In 1946, in Casper, he married Mary A. McCue.
For his professional life, he was employed for 26 years at Mobil Oil and another 18 years at Atlantic Richfield. He also helped develop the recreational areas of Bear Trap Meadow on Casper Mountain and Black Beach, Cottonwood Beach and Sandy Beach at Alcova Reservoir.
He was a member of St. Anthony's Catholic Church, the Elks Lodge and the VFW. He also served on the Natrona County Parks Board.
In his leisure, he spent summer months at the family at Alcova and liked sharing the outdoors with his family. Some of the activities he enjoyed were boating, fishing, camping, hunting, target practice and rock hunting.
Survivors include his wife and his two sons, Richard S. Logan and John E. Logan, all of Casper; and a grandson.
He was preceded in death by his parents and thirteen siblings.
