SHREVEPORT, LA - Memorial services celebrating the life of Ila Ann Green, 67, will be held on Monday September 13, 2010 at 6:00 p.m. at Greenwood Baptist Church in Greenwood, LA. Officiating will be Rev. Ken Fryer and Rev. Joe Bob Alexander. Visitation with the family will be from 5:00 p.m. Monday until service time at the church.

Ila Ann, a lover of life and a friend to many was born on June 18, 1943 in Golden Meadow, LA to Clovis I. and Mary Edwina Tonglet. On September 10, 2010 in Shreveport, LA, she passed away from this life into the arms of Jesus after a lengthy illness. She was a resident of Waskom, TX where she was a homemaker. Ila Ann loved spending time with her family and traveling. She was always gracious and compassionate, frequently thinking of others and their needs. All will miss her.

Her son, Ronald Walden, preceded her in death. Left to cherish her memory is her beloved husband, John Green; mother, Edwina Murphy; son, Rusty Green and wife, Annette; daughters, Rhonda Culpepper and husband, Tim, Patti Brister and husband, Jimmy, and Robin Stiles; sister, Betty Russo and husband, John; nephew, Gary Delaney; brother, Mike Murphy; uncle, Larry Mahaffey; 11 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, cousins and numerous friends.

The family expresses a special thanks for all the prayers and loving support that they have been so blessed to receive.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to First Baptist Church of Greenwood, 7042 Howell St., Greenwood, LA 71033 or to a charity of the donors choice.
