LIBERAL- Services will be Tuesday at the United Methodist Church at Hardtner for Donald M. Scott, 37, who died Saturday at his home here. He had a heart attack earlier this year and later developed a blood clot.
Mr. Scott was a sergeant with the Kansas Highway Patrol and had been with the patrol since 1959. He was stationed at McPherson before he moved to Libersl in 1964.
He was born Nov. 12, 1934 at Hardtner in Barber County. He was a member of Harper Lodge No. 206, AF&AM at Hardtner, the Elks Lodge at Liberal, and the Kansas Peace Officers Assn.
He was married to Betty Schoonover June 26, 1953 at Hardtner. She survives.
Other survivors include a son, Randall Scott, at home; 2 daughters, Debra Scott and Dixie Scott, both at home; his mother, Mrs. Sam Scott, Hardtner; 2 brothers, Charles Scott, Hardtner, and Samuel Scott, Seattle, Wash.; and 4 sisters, Mrs. iris Snead, Mrs Alva Allen, Mrs. Ann Eshleman, and Mrs. Dixie Grant, all of Hardtner.
Burial will be in Hardtner Cemetery. Campbell-Kitch Funeral Home at Liberal is in charge of arrangements.
