Minnie and Henry were married by a German Lutheran Minister in Prairie Hall on Feb. 28, 1884.

Mrs. Wilhelmina Fathauer, wife of Henry W. Fathauer died at 10 o'clock Wednesday night in her home, 958 West Wood street. She was sixty- five years old last March. Her death was caused by heart trouble. Mrs. Fathauer was born in Germany, March 9, 1862. She came to America and direct to Macon county forty-slx years ago and has resided here ever since, the last eight years being spent in Decatur. She was a member or the First United Brethren church and was well known. She is survived by her husband and the following children: Ida M. Fathauer and Ora E. Fathauer, both of Decatur, Mrs. Carrie Wilson and Walter W. Fathauer, both of Lake City and Mrs. Viola Hurst of Champaign. She also leaves two brothers and a sister: William Reeter of Decatur, August Reeter of Lake City and Mrs. John Diener of Canyon City, Colo. (Decatur, IL Review April 28, 1927 p.3)
