The following poem was carried in her Bible
A Comfort
By Eben Rexford
We read in the dear old chapters,
in times when weary grown,
O love that never faileth
to find a bless ists own.
And sweet are the words of comfort,
as though the land I go,
For what the Father has promised,
He will make good I know.
No matter what ill betide us
Here in the lower land,
We may turn from cares that vex us and find the comforting hand.
We can lean on love unfailing
like and arm that is strong and true
And fell it is sure and steadfast
The whole long journey through.
O Love so like a foutain
The summer cannot dry,
You fall on hears grown weary
Like rain from a pitying sky.
The love that has failed us never
will follow us all the way.
