Funeral services for Jesse "Hap" Edwards, 72, pioneer Hutchinson county resident will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday at the First Methodist Church of Stinnett. The pastor, Rev. Carol Jones will officiate.

Edwards suffered a fatal heart attack at 9:30 p.m., last night on an oil lease near the Canadian River bridge. He was an oil field construction contractor.

A resident of Borger since 1926, Edwards had lived in Stinnett the past 14 years.

He is survived by his wife of the Stinnett home; a daughter Mrs. C.R. Lindsey, Stinnett; one son, Guy Edwards, Stinnett; two sisters, Mrs. Stella Davis and Mrs. Cora Windon, West Milford, West Va., and four grandchildren.

Interment will be in the Stinnett Cemetery.

Services are scheduled at 2:30 p.m. today for Jesse "Hap" Edwards, 73, who died Thursday at about 9:30. He was a well known figure in the North Plains and a resident of the area since 1926.

Rev. A.C. Lyons of Amarillo and Rev. Carroll Jones pastor, will officiate at the funeral rites in the First Methodist Church at Stinnett. Burail will follow in Stinnett cemetery.

Pall bearers will be F.M. Parker, Franz Ferguson, Carl Goodin, Joe L. Edwards, Hugh Cypher and L.B. Nichols Sr. Honorary pass bearers will be L.B. Peden, Hiram Strothers, L.B. Nichols Jr. and F.C. Spence.
