He was born Sept. 25, 1881, at Davisville, a son of the late George and Lucy Caplinger Jackson, and was a member of the Davisville Methodist Church. He was employed by the American Viscose Corp. for 18 years, retiring in 1948. His wife, Capitola Drain Jackson, died in 1963.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Basil O. Johnson, and Mrs. Guy R. Smith, both of Parkersburg; four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two daughters, two brothers and six sisters.
The Rev. Edward Seibert will officiate with burial in the Mt. Olivet cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after noon today.
