MRS. O. E. DAVIS

Mrs. O. E. Davis died Monday at her home in Wichita, after a serious operation. Mrs. Davis was the daughter of James Watson, and a sister of Will and Joe Watson. She was a former Winfield resident and was well known in town as Miss Minnie Watson. She left Winfield several years ago and had been living in Enid and Wichita.

Funeral services for Mrs. O. E. Davis, who died in Wichita Monday, will be held at the Morris Funeral home, Wednesday at 10 a.m. The services will be conducted by Rev. R. C. Jackson, pastor of the First Presbyterian church. Interment will be made in Highland cemetery.

The body will arrive in Winfield Wednesday morning from Wichita and will be accompanied by Mr. Davis, Mrs. E. B. Jameson of Seward, Nebr., Mrs. Lester Osborne and Mr. and Mrs. Paul Watson.

Wednesday morning at ten o'clock funeral services for Mrs. O. E. Davis, who died at her home in Wichita Monday, were held from the Morris Funeral home. Rev. R. C. Jackson, pastor of the First Presbyterian church officiated at the services. Mrs. Owen Nisbet and Mrs. Dorsey Miller, accompanied by Mrs. Harry Maitland at the organ, sang "God Will Take Care of You" and "The City Foursquare."

Preceding the services at the funeral home, a silent prayer service was held at the home and was attended by only the immediate members of the family, some of whom were unable to go to the church. Rev. Jackson read a few verses of the scriptures and offered prayer. Mrs. Nisbet, accompanied by Mrs. Joe Bailey, sang "Beautiful Isle of Somewhere."

Pallbearers were W. J. Welfelt, Ray Stuber, Charles Lynn, W. V. Williams, A. G. Leavel and Oscar Spoon. Interment was made in Highland cemetery.
