Evelyn Abney Bullens, age 86, of Glades Road, passed away Wednesday, January 6, 2016 at her home.
Evelyn was born in Rockcastle County to the late Morgan and Ida Abney. She was a member of Gloryland Baptist Church and retiree of Dresser Industries.
In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her husband Joe Bullens, one son Lonnie Joe Bullens and daughter Janet Bernice Bullens, five brothers and five sisters.
She is survived by her daughters Wanda S. (Donald) Brandal of Fort Ogden, Florida and Dianna (Luster) Palmer of Berea, one sister Eula Abney of Berea, one brother Cecil Abney of Mt. Vernon, six grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 2pm Sunday, January 10, 2016 at Lakes Funeral Home with Bro. Cecil Burns officiating. Burial will follow in the Scaffold Cane Cemetery. Visitation will be from 12pm-2pm Sunday at the funeral home.
Active pallbearers will be Scott Johnson, Robbie Johnson, Bobby Hall, Timothy Hall, Mike Abney and Anthony Abney. Honorary pallbearer will be Ron Hall.
