Mrs. Emaline Bowers passed away at her home, 616 Sixth avenue, at 12:45 o'clock Tuesday morning, aged eighty eight years, the immediate cause of death being paralysis, with which she was stricken several weeks ago. Mrs. Bowers had resided in Clinton since 1869, and had always enjoyed good health and been quite active until her recent affliction.
She had an extended acquaintance in Clinton and was held in kind regard by a large circle of friends. Two children are left to mourn--H.F. Bowers, of this city, and Mrs. Mary Gubbins, of De Witt. The funeral will take place from the residence at 2 o'clock Friday afternoon.
