--ROCK HILL - Mrs. Willie Mae McCarty Cook , 89, of 524 Flint St., died Sept. 24, 1995, at Meadow Haven Nursing Home. Funeral is 3 p.m. Wednesday at the Chapel of Bass Funeral Home with Rev. Ted Brazil officiating. Interment will be in Grand View Memorial Park. Visitation is 2-3 p.m. Wednesday at Bass Funeral Home.
--Mrs. Cook was born in Edgefield County, daughter of the late Samuel Pl and Margaret E. Perry McCarty. She was a retired sales lady for J.C. Penny. She was a member of St. John's United Methodist Church and the Browning Sykes Sunday school class.
--Survivors include daughters, Rosemary Young of Newton, NC, and Bob Perry Gardner of Lancaster; son, Bruce Allen Seagle of Crofton, MD; brother, Paul Melvin McCarty of Merritt Island, FL; sister, Mrs. Lavoy Bauknight of Lancaster; 12 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
