Melvin Bumbalough, 48, of Cookeville, passed away Aug. 26, 2002, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center.
Bumbalough was born April 17, 1954, in White County, To Tom Otis and Braskie Mae Bumbalough.
He was a self-employed landscaper.
Bumbalough was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Wilene Bumbalough; and one brother, Clifton Bumbalough.
Survivors include his wife, Priscilla Cargile Bumbalough of Cookeville; one daughter and son-in-law, Amanda and Blake Philpot of Rickman; two sons, Scottie Bumbalough and Lonnie Bumbalough both of Cookeville; three sisters, Mildred Dyer and Adell Grogan both of Cookeville and Alene Lauren of Sparta; four brothers, Cledaus Bumbalough of Sparta, Glen Bumbalough of White Bluff, Frankie Bumbalough of Franklin and Steve Bumbalough of Cookeville; and one granddaughter, Ashly Philpot.
Arrangements: Services were held at 11 a.m., Aug. 28, 2002, at Hooper, Huddleston &Horner Funeral Home with burial in Bohannon Cemetery. Bro. Richard Harris officiated.
