Sara Evelyn Thomas Winn, age 80, of Hagerstown, passed away Thursday, December 12, 2002, at Washington County Hospital.
Sara was born November 11, 1922, in Bosworth, Missouri, the daughter of the late Albert Lewis and Sara Louree Calvert Thomas.
She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Harold E. Winn; two daughters, F. Gail Petry of Mercersburg, PA, and Linda L. Wennick of Boonsboro; two sons, Larry L. Winn of Detroit, and Thomas G. Winn of Chambersburg, PA; two brothers, Donald R. Thomas of Carrollton, Missouri and George F. Thomas of Turlock, California; a sister, Ethel Mae McCoy of Hamilton, Missouri; sixteen grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by daughter F. Darlene Creswell, a sister, Mary Ellen Winn; and six brothers, Charles, Jack, Joe, Johnny, Ernest, and Lewis Thomas.
Funeral services were conducted Monday, at the Rest Haven Funeral Chapel, Hagerstown, with Pastor Joseph Pickens officiating. Burial was in the Rest Haven Cemetery.
